When Nancy and her mother relocated to Raleigh, Ana hoped she would be able to find a day program like Nancy had enjoyed in New York. However, finding an affordable option was a challenge.

After receiving a Life Experiences scholarship, Nancy now attends a local day program that offers engagement, job training, and community integration while promoting the participants’ independence. The Life Experiences’ scholarship makes it possible for Nancy to attend this program three days per week.

 

Nancy’s mother has noticed great improvement in Nancy’s learning and skills since she began attending the day program. Nancy loves her friends and the staff at the program.
