Life Experiences Receives Grant from White Memorial Presbyterian Church

White Memorial Presbyterian Church

White Memorial Presbyterian Church received funding requests from over 35 agencies in our community for their 2013 grant funds. The Community Service and Allocations Committee had the difficult responsibility of selecting the recipient organizations. Life Experiences, Inc. is grateful to have been selected again this year to receive a $3,500 grant from White Memorial Presbyterian Church. Business Manager Lisa Bilyj with Life Experiences, Inc. says, “We are very grateful for their continued support of our organization, White Memorial Presbyterian Church has been supporting Life Experiences, Inc. since 1992. Their dedication and generosity help us run programs within our organization”. Selecting a Catering Company for your next big event, corporate function, or party has become much easier.  Life Experiences, Inc. Bakery Business provides a basic menu of finger sandwiches and desserts so you can enjoy your clients or guests while knowing that you are also making a very positive impact on the lives of local adults with developmental disabilities at Life Experiences. Ryan, one of our Bakery employees says, “I love making brownies, I love the smell of the chocolate and I am a hard worker in the bakery”. Our Bakery Business was the first business operated by Life Experiences, Inc. It is run by one program manager for 11 employees. IFMA and Valleycrest Landscaping Volunteer to help Life Experiences

IFMA International Facilities Management Association

IFMA’s (International Facilities Management Association) Community Outreach Committee Chair and Co-Chair, Denise Johnston and Linda Kops, along with Jay Manganaro with Valleycrest Landscaping volunteer to help Life Experiences. On Wednesday, March 13th IFMA is inviting Life Experiences to hold a bake sale and share some information about the organization during their meeting at the PNC Arena. All proceeds from the bake sale will be given to Life Experiences. IFMA is also hosting a “It’s a great day to be Green Day”! 2013 Poker Run Challenge Vote For Your Mayor

2013 Poker Run Challange

Life Experiences, Inc. will be hosting their 9th Annual Ride for Jason and Friends Poker Run event in April 6, 2013. This event will take bikers for an adventure. The adventure includes up to five stops. Each rider will receive a playing card at each stop. The rider with the best poker hand at the last stop will win a prize. During their face-off this past weekend, Morrisville Mayor Jackie Holcombe and Cary Mayor Harold Weinbrecht both agreed to support the upcoming 2013 Ride for Jason and Friends Poker Run event. The Poker Run event will benefit local non-profit organization, Life Experiences, Inc.. The Mayor that receives the most “Likes” during our upcoming contest on facebook from March 1st to March 15th will have the honor of having their biker representatives lead our event riders to their first stop. JNHS at Mills Park Middle School donates to Life Experiences

Junior National Honor Society at Mills Park Middle School

The Junior National Honor Society at Mills Park Middle School adopted Life Experiences, Inc. for a project they are working on this quarter. They have close to 90 members and each member was challenged to collect 5 items from Life Experiences‘ wish list including: cleaning supplies, first aid supplies, craft and office supplies. That would mean close to 450 items that Life Experiences would not have to purchase! Their target date for picking up the donated supplies was on February 10, 2013. The Junior National Honor Society students blew past their goal and donated close to 500 items to Life Experiences!
